Jon Strout, Manager of True North Inspection Services, has been selected as an Honored Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. Over the last two decades, he has been involved in active service, and has more than 11 years of business experience. He is also affiliated with ASHI, InterNACHI, Women’s Council of Realtors, and Raleigh Regional Association of Realtor Associate Member and more (see below). Jon Strout, who studied at Campbell University, broke out into the real estate home inspections field in 2013. Worked alongside a franchise for 10 years before breaking off in his own ventures of business ownership. Mr. Strout began the business opportunity originally investing over 400 hours of training. “My job as a home inspector is to provide quality inspections to better facilitate the clients’ confidence in the home buying process,” Mr. Strout said. “I have a hugely supportive team behind me that will support my success with years of experience.” Mr. Strout’s main priority as a home inspector is to walk each home to look for potential investment issue that may need to be fixed or replaced to make the home safe before the client moves in or out. He also provides first year warranty inspections, where he will inspect the newly built home before their first year warranty with the contractor has run out, saving the new or current homeowner financial heartache in the long run.

Noting that 77% of homeowners prefer to have their potential new home inspected and with 99% of real estate agents highly recommending inspection services, Mr. Strout is excited about the future of his True North business. Having always wanted to own his own business, while also witnessing many of his own family members struggle financially, Mr. Strout was ready to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

Having previously served 10+ years in the US Army with multiple deployments and 10 years of National Guard service, Mr. Strout earned a Bronze Star in 2012 and a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, earned his parachutist badge, and Brazilian Jump wings. He is currently retired from the North Carolina National Guard.
